PACKAGE XL01 OF VAN PHONG – NHA TRANG COMPONENT, EASTERN NORTH – SOUTH EXPRESSWAY PROJECT

     Van Phong – Nha Trang component under Eastern North – South expressway construction project, period 2021-2025 has total length of 52.5 km. The starting point of the route connects with the southern approach road of Co Ma tunnel in Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province. The ending point of the route is in Ninh Hoa district, Khanh Hoa province. The expressway is planned to have 6 traffic lanes in complete phase with the breadth of B = 32.25 m, 4 traffic lanes in phase 1 with the breadth of B = 17.00 m, and maximum velocity of 120 km/h.

    On the route there will have following junctions: Co Ma interchange connects with NH.1 (Southern approach road to Co Ma tunnel) at Km285+000. The interchange is designed as an incomplete trumpet combined with the current intersection to connect existing roads with the expressway; Van Gia interchange is designed in trumpet shape connects with NH.1 at Km299+800; NH.26 interchange at Km332+096 in diamond shape connects the expressway with NH.26 (Ninh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot)

    Package XL01: Km285+000 ÷ Km337+500 has total length of 52.5 km. The starting point at Km285+000 in in Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province. The ending point at Km337+500 bordering Package XL02 is in Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province.

    Lizen – Phuong Thanh – Hai Dang – VNCN E&C Joint Venture was awarded Package XL01 with contract value of 4,701 billion VND to be performed in 34 months.

  • Scale and technical specifications of main works of the project:

–  Construction of expressway:

+ Total length of expressway: L= 52.5 km. Design velocity V = 120 km/h.

+ There will have 4 traffic lanes in phase 1 and 6 traffic lanes in complete phase.

+ Cross section of road embankment: B = 17 m in phase 1, B = 32.25 m in complete phase.

+ Structure of expressway pavement: AC highway pavement type A1 with required elasticity modulus E ≥194 MPa.

+ Ramps of interchange: Highway pavement type A1 with E ≥160 MPa.

+ Rehabilitated NH.1: AC highway pavement type A1 with E ≥160 MPa.

+ Approach road of Hoa Son overfly: AC pavement with E ≥140 MPa.

+ Frontage road: cement concrete pavement (B = 3.5m); underpass, drainage system, slope consolidation, traffic safety system.

  • Bridge construction:

+ Scale:  Bridges will be constructed permanently with RC and pre-stressed RC.

+ Design load: HL93 according to Standard TCVN11823-1:2017 and Standard TCVN11823-14:2017.

+ Width of bridges on the expressway: The width of bridges is in accordance with the width of embankment. In phase 1 the width of bridge is B = 17.5m. In complete phase, one more module will be constructed nearby with breadth B = 16.25m.

    VNCN E&C is performing all works on section Km291+00 – Km298+00 and 8 bridges including: Co Ma bridge at Km0+707,45; Ninh Ma 1 bridge Km0+162,66; Ninh Ma 2 bridge at Km0+153,2; Tu Bong bridge at Km290+057; Hoa Son bridge at Km290+695; Suoi Hang bridge at Km294+495; Van Gia bridge at Km299+812 and Dong Dien bridge at Km300+685.
