The Project on Investment Construction of Nguyen Trai Bridge and Urban Embellishment of Surrounding Area is the major project of Hai Phong City in 2024. The Project belongs to group A, is a special transport work with total investment of more than 6,200 billion VND. The Project will enlarge Nguyen Trai road from 18m to 50.5m, connect with Le Hong Phong road and Cat Bi international airport.

The Project will build Nguyen Trai cable-stayed bridge with 4 motorized lanes. The bridge is 1,500m long with the middle span of 300m, which is the largest span of bridges in Hai Phong city. Two pylons of 111m high form 2 sails. The junction of Nguyen Trai bridge with Le Thanh Tong road will have modern architecture.

The beginning point of the project (Km0+000) is to the North of the bridge: connects with North-South axis road (D4 road) of the VSIP Hai Phong urban, industrial and service zone in Duong Quang commune, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city. The ending point of the project (Km2+404.97) to the South of the bridge: connects with Nguyen Trai road at 5-way junction of Cat Bi airport and Le Thanh Tong road in May To ward, Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong city.

Total lenght L=2,404.97m (including the bridge and approach roads).

Scale of investment and technical standards: following Decision No. 2776/QD-UBND dated 14 September 2023 of the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hai Phong city.

Joint Venture of Thang Long – VNCN E&C – Thang Long Bridge 3 – HJC is the contractor of Package No. 15. Scope of Package No. 15:

– Construction of approach bridge and approach road in Thuy Nguyen side, including traffic safety and lighting.
– Construction of approach bridge and approach road in Ngo Quyen side, including traffic safety and lighting.
– Construction of ramps and junction, including traffic safety and lighting.

VNCN Engineering Construction and Investment Joint Stock Corporation (VNCN E&C) constructs following works:

– Construction of bridge in Ngo Quyen side: Abutment M2 of approach bridge.
– Left ramp: All 5 cast-in-situ hollow slab girder spans and relevant piers (from pier T5T to abutment MT).
– Construction of bridge in Thuy Nguyen side.
– All bridge of 4 cantilever spans and piers T6, T7, T8, T9 + 2 segments of cast-in-place beam.
– All 5 cast-in-situ hollow slab girder spans and relevant piers (from abutment M1 to pier T5) + road part (soft soil treatment + asphalt concrete pavement).

VNCN E&C has mobilized sufficient equipment and personnel to push up the construction on the project site. With extensive experience in project management and advanced technical capacity, VNCN E&C will complete the project ensuring aesthetics, technical, economic requirements, labor safety and sanitation, and hand over the works on schedule.
