Metro Line 1 – Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien Line is a 19.7 kilometer long project with total 14 stations. This is the first line to be built under the whole Metro Line system; the subway shall be built according to Ho Chi Minh City urban railway planning. VNCN Engineering Construction and Investment Joint Stock Corporation shall implement construction from July, 2018.
- Underground path from Union Square Trading Center to Opera House Station:
- – Construction area: 647.15m2 (of which connecting tunnel area at Le Loi street is 374.22m2 and integrated part inside Union Square Building is 272.93m2).
- – Construction of 16 panels of diaphragm wall with width of 1.2m, length of 42m.
- – Soil improvement: Jet grouting with D2,500mm, total volume is 2,599m3.
- – Hacking and removal of existing structure by diamond cutting machine: 800m3
- – Strutting and shoring: 342 tons
- – Tunnel structure: under the depth of 12m, with height of 4.5m, length of 24m and width of 13.75m; reinforced by 1,450 m3 concrete, 356 tons rebar and 4,522 nos. chemical anchors.
- Construction of Over Track Exhaust, Duct and Inner-wall of Opera House station:
- – Construction of Inner-wall, OTE and Duct slab, Partition wall of City Opera House station, across Le Loi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.
- – Construction of 129 inner wall panels over 4 floors BF1-BF4, 274m of OTE in BF2&BF4, and Duct slab, Partition wall from BF2-BF4 with concrete volume of approximately 4,700 m3.
