GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY OF MY AN – CAO LANH EXPRESSWAY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT PHASE 1

   On July 26th, 2025, in Thap Muoi commune, Dong Thap province, the Ministry of Construction together with the People’s Committee of Dong Thap province held the Ground Breaking Ceremony of My An – Cao Lanh Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1.

   The Project is managed by Project Management Unit My Thuan under the Ministry of Construction. The total investment of the Project is VND 6,127.819 billion including ODA loan from the Korean Government and the counterpart fund of the Vietnamese Government. The Project has total length of about 26.6 km with the starting point connecting with road N2 at Km96+875 (road N2) in Doc Binh Kieu commune, and the end point at An Binh interchange (Cao Lanh bridge end) in My Tra ward, Dong Thap province.

   Attending the Ceremony, the Vice Minister of Construction Pham Minh Ha requested Project Management Unit My Thuan to organize the management, control the quality, progress and investment capital during the project implementation, strictly obeying the laws; directed the construction contractors to prepare an overall, detailed construction schedule in accordance with the project completion time, to have a basis for supervising the implementation of participating units.

   The project is invested in order to gradually accomplish the road transport network, promote the socio-economic development, ensuring the national defense and security in the Mekong Delta Region in general and in Dong Thap province in particular.

   The My An – Cao Lanh expressway construction project when completed and put into operation together with Cao Lanh – Lo Te and Lo Te – Rach Soi routes which have been upgraded to expressway scale will help connect directly from Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh, Dong Thap and An Giang. The project will help shorten the travelling time and ease the burden on the Eastern North – South Expressway, the National Highway 1, the National Highway 30, the National Highway 80 and other nearby routes.
